Colorful Seasons Fall Candle Card

Colorful Seasons
Fall themed Candle Card

I came across a great card made by Kristal Bell this week and knew I had to make one. Her candle card as I have called it was made using the new Spooky Cat Bundle. I didn't have that bundle so I chose to use the Colorful Seasons bundle and the old baby wipe technique. Hope you all enjoy and can understand my directions!

Cardstock Dimensions:
Early Espresso (1) 4-1/4" x 11" scored on long side at 4" and 8"  -  When you make those folds you get a little tent structure that allows you to add a tealight inside.
Crushed Curry (1) 4" x 3-3/4" and (1) 4" x 1"
Very Vanilla (1) 3-3/4" x  3-1/2" and (1) 3-3/4" x 3/4"
Vellum (1) 2-1/4" x 2-1/4"

Baby Wipe Technique:.
Layer 3 or 4 baby wipes and fold in half and place on paper plate. Choose 3 ink refills. In this sample I used Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Crushed Curry. Place 3-4 drops of each color randomly. Your "stamp pad" should look something like this:

Directions: Ink up your leaf stamp and stamp first full leaf image in the right hand corner of your very vanilla cardstock like this:

Re-ink your leaf stamp and randomly fill in cardstock until desired look. Remember to stamp off cardstock so it looks more natural. If your image becomes muddied clean off stamp and re-ink or you may choose to clean off stamp in between each image.

Place leaf framelit over stamped leaf in lower right corner like this:

Run this through the bigshot. Hint: when using detailed images in the big shot I will usually run them back  and forth several times. Your vanilla cardstock should now look like this:

Lay Very vanilla cardstock over crushed curry cardstock and fit framelit into place like this:

Repeat by laying crushed curry c.s. over the early espresso flap and fitting framelit in place. Run early espresso and framelit through bigshot. Save this die cut leaf for laying on top of finished card.

Adhere vellum piece to the back of the very vanilla cardstock using either snail adhesive in the corners of the vellum or by using mini glue dots.

Adhere vanilla c.s. to crushed curry c.s. using adhesive of your choice.

Adhere die cut leaf into place by using a fine tip glue pen or 2 way glue.

Mount crushed curry to early espresso cardstock.

On small vanilla cardstock stamp saying of choice. On this sample I used the saying from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set.

Layer very vanilla onto small crushed curry piece. Use stamping dimensionals to pop up crushed curry piece to bottom flap. This will hold your card in place. Place a battery operated tealight in tent of card. Voila!

FYI: You can use any saying you would like but if you choose to buy the Paisleys and Posies stamp set then you don't necessarily need the coordinating framelits. I only added this as a suggestion because you will save 10% buy buying the bundle.

Painted Harvest Wreath

   (Sorry it's sideways again lol)

Hi all! Hope you are still as excited about the Painted Harvest set/bundle as I am. I just cannot stop using it! I decided to do a little something different other than beautiful sunflowers/flowers. I decided to CASE (Cope and Share Everything) a Christmas card from another demonstrator. Unfortunately, I didn't have a current holiday saying so I just used the saying from the Painted Harvest stamp set. I have included instructions, dimensions and a list of supplies for you. In the list of supplies you will notice that I also added the Painted Harvest BUNDLE. If you chose this item you will get the Painted Harvest stamp set and coordinating leaf punch for 10% off!  If you would like to order anything in the list of products just click on them and you will be taken to my personal stampin up page. Make sure to create an account if you haven't done so already. Thank you in advance. I appreciate any and all orders.

Now on to the instructions

  1. Cut all cardstock as follows: Whisper White card stock at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4; 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" Lemon Lime Twist; 3"x3" Whisper White; 2"x5-1/2" strip of Autumn Harvest DSP (Designer Series Paper).

  2. Adhere strip of designer paper to front of card...see sample.

  3. Stamp bigger, less detailed sunflower stamp onto piece of 3x3 cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist Stamp Pad.

  4. Stamp smaller, more detailed sunflower stamp directly onto other sunflower image.

  5. Stamp small dots/seeds onto Lemon Lime Twist "wreath" using Cherry Cobbler to make the berries.

  6. Stamp greeting in Early Espresso. In the card I cased they had used a saying that said something about being joyous or something for Christmas. I didn't have any Christmas sayings that are current so I just went ahead and used the saying from the Painted Harvest stamp set.

    1. Take the largest stitched shaped framelit and cut out the piece that you stamped the wreath on.

    2. Use the largest scallopped framelit from the layering squares framelits to cut out a Lemon Lime Twist Square.

    3. Using snail adhesive or fast fuse adhere the wreath layer to the Lemon Lime Twist layer.

    4. Take a piece of Lemon Lime Twist woven ribbon and form into a ribbon and adhere to strip of DSP with glue dots.Layer the Lemon Lime Twist piece with the wreath layer attatched using. stampin dimensionals. Voila!

    5. I hope you have enjoyed this card! IF you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. You can reach me at crosbylisa@hotmail.com,

      Painted Harvest - Cajun Craze

This card is absolutely gorgeous and I had so much fun making it! I am hoping you love it as much as I do. All measurements, instructions and supplies are listing below. Please feel free to click on any product to place an order with me! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

      1. Early Espresso Cardstock is cut to 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2". The Very Vanilla cardstock was cut to 3" x 4-1/4".
      2. To stamp, I started with the bigger, less detailed sunflower stamp inked in Crushed Curry ink. I stamped those images randomly on my cardstock. I then took the detailed sunflower stamp and inked that up with the Cajun Craze. I stamped right on top of the Crushed Curry sunflower. Beautiful! This is a two step stamp set but this one isn't particularly meant to line up perfect so don't fret about it. The middle of the sunflowers were stamped with Early Espresso and the leaves were stamped randomly with Old Oliver. The last thing I stamped on the Very Vanilla card stock was the I am Thankful for You saying across the top.
      3. I adhered the Very Vanilla piece to the Early Espresso card base with mono adhesive or if you like the Fast Fuse you can use that as well.
      4. Next I stamped the 2 acorns with Early Espresso ink on a piece of scrap card stock.. I started by inking the tops of the acorn and then stamped the bottoms. I also stamped the smaller detailed leaf in Old Olive and used the Leaf Punch to punch it out.
      5. I adhered a 4-1/4' piece of Burlap Ribbon to the card base using glue dots.
      6. Cut a 4-1/4" x 1 inch strip of Cajun Craze card stock and then slowly tear a piece down the long side leaving a torn edge.
      7. Adhere this piece to the card base as well. Tuck it just under the burlap ribbon.
      8. Lastly adhere your punched out leaf, cut out acorns and a ribbon made from your white twine to the top of the burlap ribbon. Voila!
Just to let you know I put several options in the supply list only because some people prefer Snail Adhesive to Fast Fuse and so on. As always only  order what you need. These are just suggestions from me! Thank you for checking my blog out! Have a great night.

I am headed away for the weekend and not sure when I will get to blog again but I am looking forward to sharing more Painted Harvest samples with you! Are you sick of it yet?? There is truly no end to the beauty that you can create with this stamp set!!  Good night all!

      Painted Harvest Dapper Denim

Sorry this is sideways. I am new at this and could not get it upright.

The 2017 Stampin Up Holiday Catalog is now live and I am so excited to share some great samples with you. The one suite that I have fallen in love with is the Painted Autumn Suite. It is so versatile!

The Painted Harvest stamp set is photopolymer and is a two-step stamping stamp set.
Dapper Denim card base is 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2. The Sahara Sand layer is 4 x 5-1/4. I started by inking up the larger shaded, undefined "sunflower" stamp with my lighter color of Marina Mist. Stamped this image randomly onto my Sahara Sand. Then I inked up the detailed "sunflower" stamp with my darker shade of Dapper Denim and stamped over the lighter images. This stamp set is not meant to be lined up so don't fret. Your flowers will turn out great! Ink up the center of your flowers with peekaboo peach and then I stamped the "seeds" with the Dapper Denim. I took the less detailed fern stamp and inked that up with Old Olive ink and filled in around my flowers. The saying I used is from the Rose Wonder stamp set. I inlcuded that in the supply list along with the bundle option. The Rose Wonder bundle includes the die set. The Painted Harvest can also be purchased as a bundle which includes the leaf punch. The happy birthday was stamped onto Sahara Sand cardstock with Dapper Denim ink. I then die cut this out using the 3rd smallest die from the Lots of Labels framelits. That was layered onto a piece of Dapper Denim cardstock that was die cut using the 4the smallest die from the Lots of Labels framelits as well. I used a 1/4" punch to punch a hole in each end of the Dapper Denim cardstock. I pulled a piece of Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon through the holes and tied a bow. I used stampin dimensionals to adhere the Dapper Denim piece to the card. Voila! Beautiful! Our stampin' dimensionals now come in two sizes....regular and mini! I have included both on the supply list just so that you have a choice.
Thanks for checking my card and my blog out. All the items I used are listed below. Click on any of these items and you will be taken to my Stampin Up website where you can check out the new catalog, ordere any of these items or anything else you may need. Remember to set up an account and make sure to chose me as your demonstrator! Thank you!
